Study Space
A quiet, dedicated area is available to help boarders focus on their schoolwork.
- Equipped with six Windows computers and a printer
- Spare desks for laptop use
- Internet access with safe browsing protections
For added flexibility, a supervised Wi-Fi network is opened during designated study hours for boarders using their own laptops in the dining area.
Senior boarders (Years 11 & 12) who demonstrate self-discipline may also study in their own rooms.
The Rec Shed
Our indoor recreation space — affectionately called the Rec Shed — is a favourite hangout spot where boarders can relax and recharge after a day at school.
Features include:
- Full-size pool table
- Air hockey table
- Giant 10-pin bowling
- Dart board (supervised use only)
- Home cinema setup with:
- Large projector screen
- Recliner lounges
- Disney+, Netflix (M-rated and below), and live TV (perfect for State of Origin!)
- PlayStation 4 with a selection of games
Fitness & Gym
Thanks to the generous support of Origin Energy, Leichhardt House has a small but well-equipped gym that was refreshed with new gear in January 2025.
Available equipment includes:
- Treadmill
- Rowing machine
- Stationary bike
- Elliptical
- Weights
Basketball Court
A great spot for a quick game or to shoot some hoops solo. Whether it’s fun in a group or time to clear your head, the court is a favourite for boarders of all ages.
Open for boarders to enjoy between 3pm and 8pm (excluding mealtimes and study sessions).
BBQ & outdoor dining area
A popular hangout during the warmer months, the BBQ area features:
- 2 gas BBQs (for house parent use)
- 2 large outdoor tables
- Additional seating for group gatherings or relaxed dinners outside
It’s a great space for sharing a meal, celebrating birthdays, or simply enjoying the fresh air together.
