Here's how to get started.
Choosing weekday boarding is a big step for families. We’re here to help you every step of the way, with a clear and supportive enrolment process.
Step 1. Get in touch
Start by contacting our friendly House Parents, Kim and Gavin, to have a chat about your family’s needs. They’ll answer your questions and help you understand how life at Leichhardt House works.

Step 2. Book a tour
Come and see the residence for yourself.
We’ll walk you through the facilities, daily routines and support systems we have in place to make boarding feel safe, structured and home-like for every student.
Step 3. Apply for a place
After your tour, you can complete an Enrolment Form and return it to the House Parents.
A review your application will take place and we'll speak with you to confirm the next steps. If we’re currently at capacity, you’ll be offered the option to join our waitlist.
Step 4. Review and sign agreements
Once accepted, we’ll provide a full enrolment pack including important agreements to ensure everyone understands expectations and support systems.
These may include:
- Parent/Carer Agreement
- Boarder Agreement
- Medical & First Aid Consents
- Device & Online Services Agreement
- Mobile Devices Use Agreement
- Optional: Boarder Driver Application (Year 12 students only)
Financial Assistance
You may be eligible for support through the Assistance for Isolated Children Scheme.
Getting to School & Activities
We transport students to before and after-school activities, like sport, music and jobs— and provide shuttle support for both Chinchilla State High School and Chinchilla Christian College.
Boarding Options
Leichhardt House offers full-time boarding (Monday to Friday – 4 nights/week) as well as casual flexible overnight stays when needed - you'll need to book in advance.
